A guide to efficient packing and smart transport planning

🧭 Why are pallets important?

Pallets are the foundation of modern logistics. They enable safe, standardized and efficient handling of goods throughout transport and storage. Choosing the right pallet can:

  • reduce transport costs,
  • optimize vehicle space,
  • minimize cargo damage risks.

🔍 Most common pallet types

  1. Euro Pallet (EUR/EPAL)
    📏 Dimensions: 1200 x 800 mm
🏋️ Capacity: up to 1500 kg
    🌍 Most used in Europe
♻️ EPAL certified, standardized for automation

  2. Industrial Pallet (ISO)
    📏 Dimensions: 1200 x 1000 mm
🏋️ Capacity: up to 1500 kg
    🇺🇸 Common in US/international export
➕ Larger than Euro pallet, less suitable for EU trucks

  3. Half Pallet
    📏 Dimensions: 800 x 600 mm

➕ Ideal for retail, compact deliveries

  4. Quarter Pallet

  5. One-way Pallet
    📏 Dimensions: variable (most often 1200 x 800 mm)
    🪵 Thin wood/plastic, non-returnable
    ➕ Cost-effective for one-time shipping

  6. Plastic Pallet
