Steps for Safe and Efficient Delivery
In logistics, there’s no room for error – poorly prepared goods can cause delays, damage and unnecessary costs.
Here’s a checklist of key steps to follow when preparing shipments with our fleet.
- Proper packaging
- Fragile goods: use bubble wrap, styrofoam, cardboard spacers
- Liquids: must be sealed and leak-proof
- Boxed or bagged goods: stack securely and wrap in film
- Palletisation and load stability
- Use EUR-pallets (1200 x 800 mm) or industrial (1200 x 1000 mm)
- No overhang
- Even weight distribution
- Use corner protectors for tall stacks
- Clear labeling
- Recipient details
- Shipment/order number
- Handling instructions (“fragile”, “this side up”, etc.)
- Documents
- Delivery note or CMR
- Invoice (for cross-border shipments)
- Unloading instructions
- SDS/MSDS (for hazardous goods)
- Inform us of special requirements
- Oversized items
- Unusual loading method
- Fragile materials
- Special equipment needed (ramp, crane, etc.)
